Inside Sales Representative

Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative will be part of Aquilon’s Business Development Team. This group is responsible for developing the strategy and infrastructure to drive the day-to-day management of Aquilon’s sale process for our highly-innovative software solution. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for generating, prospecting and qualifying leads.  

Essential Functions and Duties

Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time based on business needs. To be successful in this position, the Inside Sales Representative must proficiently:

  • Telephone prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipelines.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales managers for further development and closure.
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts and building rapport.
  • Responds to requests from customers for information and gives effective online demos.
  • Keep management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports. 

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • BS/BA from an accredited College/University.
  • 1+ years of experience in an Inside Sales role.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to make high volumes of calls into current and potential customers.
  • Professional phone presence when talking to customers.
  • Reliable team player with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • Exceptional personality for working with coworkers and customers.
  • Knowledge working in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, etc. 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the Energy industry
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions
  • Knowledge of or Experience using Salesforce.com
